Big Richard

Big Richard delivers ferocious, unapologetic acoustic music with big energy and even bigger chops. Their live shows are raucous, emotional, and irreverent — mixing ripping instrumentals, dark humor, and raw, socially charged songs. Their new album "Pet," out this February on Signature Sounds, was recorded live to tape to capture the chaos and catharsis that define their performances. Since exploding onto the Colorado scene in 2021, the four women of Big Richard — Bonnie Sims (mandolin & guitar), Joy Adams (cello), Hazel Royer (bass & guitar) and Eve Panning (fiddle) — have played PBS' the Cavern Sessions, NPR's World Cafe, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Delfest, Bourbon and Beyond, Jam Cruise, and New Year's Eve at the Ryman in Nashville, and won Westword's 2023 Best of Denver award for Best Bluegrass Band. They have shared bills with Molly Tuttle, Railroad Earth, Della Mae and Old Crow Medicine Show. Their Telluride set became the live album Live from Telluride (2022); the debut full-length studio album Girl Dinner followed in January 2025, and Pet arrived on Signature Sounds on February 6, 2026. The singles "Smokey Joe" (June 2026) and "Pickin' On Me" (September 2026) have followed, and the band is on the road through March 2027.
